Creating glass art quickly evolved from a hobby into a passion for me. Learning the myriad ways in which glass can be manipulated to create art continues to stimulate both my heart and mind.
My creations span traditional stained glass and mosaic techniques, as well as glass-fusing. Creating stained glass involves cutting colored glass into patterns, smoothing the edges, then wrapping each piece with copper foil. The pattern pieces are then assembled, soldered together, and finished with a patina. Mosaic art is crafted by cutting glass into irregular pieces, adhering them to a surface, interspersing them with a variety of other glass pieces, and then grouting around all pieces to seal them in place.
