Malu Nicolette
Since arriving in the US in 1994, I have refined my glass art style, drawing immense inspiration from the vibrant sights and sounds of the Sonoran Desert. My creative vision materializes through intricate and mesmerizing fused glass works that reflect not only the essence of the Arizona desert but also the rich colors and shapes of my Venezuelan and Italian heritage. I employ a variety of techniques to manipulate glass in different states, using a kiln with temperatures ranging from 1325 to 1800 degrees Fahrenheit to achieve the precise shapes, textures, and colors envisioned for my finished pieces. My work is proudly displayed at the Bubany Artists' Gallery in Tucson, AZ, the Tubac Center of the Arts Gift Shop in Tubac, AZ, and has been exhibited at the Oro Valley Public Library in Oro Valley, AZ.
